Sustainability at AMUSE
where everyone can live well
AMUSE defines sustainability as the creation of a society
in which everyone can live well and freely,
transcending differences in time, place, gender and personal belief.
We can achieve this aim by enabling everybody to feel vibrant.
We believe that entertainment has the power to stir people's souls and
even change their futures dramatically,
rippling through the world.
To do this, we must continue to nurture diverse values to develop
new strengths and maintain our uniqueness.
We are determined to continue to enable everybody to feel vibrant for a better future.
Basic Approach to Sustainability
We believe the source of our value creation is people - our artists and employees. They are the most important element for sustainable growth. Our value is therefore maximized when people demonstrate their talents and character and raise each other up. We recognize that how we protect and strengthen our human capital is the most important topic in our business strategy.
In recent years, a variety of social issues have emerged, and companies are being called to respond with more responsibility. For us, actively responding to the needs of society and the times is natural. We also consider it our social responsibility to guide society in a better direction as a whole by utilizing our strength and ability as an entertainment company to communicate and provide opportunities for many people to become aware of and consider social issues.
We consider strengthening our human capital and utilizing our communication abilities to be critical sustainability issues. We aim to improve our mid- to long-term corporate value and achieve a sustainable world where everyone can live well.
Sustainability Governance
We established a Sustainability Committee in FY2022 to promote our Group sustainability initiatives further. This committee has held Group-wide, cross-departmental discussions on key themes.
In addition to their quarterly meetings, sub-committees with specific established goals meet as needed, and the details of these discussions are reported to the Board of Directors once annually.
The Human Resources Department is also central to important issues regarding human capital, including recruitment and internal transfers. They have established a consultation and report system with directors.
