We aim to manage our business sustainably that coexist with nature. Examples of our responses to climate change include the use of renewable energy, environmentally friendly merchandise manufacturing and sales processes and information disclosure in line with the TCFD recommendations.

Responding to environmental issues
Introduction of renewable energy and offsets at head office
As of FY2024, our head office has switched to Shin Yamanashi Power-- renewable energy from a Yamanashi Prefecture-operated hydroelectric power plant--for a portion of its electricity usage. For power which is difficult to switch to Shin Yamanashi Power, we offset using Yamanashi Prefectural Forest J-VER, part of the Yamanashi Prefectural Forest Utilization Global Warming Countermeasures Project. A portion of the fees for introducing these systems is being used for environmental conservation projects and prefectural forest management in Yamanashi Prefecture. In this way, we are supporting initiatives to protect Yamanashi's rich natural environment while driving our own decarbonization efforts.

Reducing Environmental Burden in the Sales and Manufacturing of Merchandise
Starting in FY2020, we began moving from polyethylene plastic packing materials to paper packing materials in stages when shipping products from our A!SMART, our online store. Through this, we were able to reduce our plastic packing material usage by about 6 tons annually. Starting in FY2023, we gradually began using FSC-certified materials for cardboard packaging. We also introduced a new analysis system to reduce overproduction and waste in the merchandise manufacturing process, while also improving the efficiency of the Group's supply chain from planning to production and sales, which has enabled us to further strengthen inventory control.
Disclosures in line with TCFD recommendations
We view climate change as one of our key challenges, as we believe there is a risk that climate change could have various impacts on our business and stakeholders and cause significant damage.
Our main initiatives include the development of a governance structure, identification and assessment of climate change risks and opportunities, scenario analysis, a review of risk management systems, and calculation of Scope 1 and 2 emissions.
Going forward, we will work to further strengthen our efforts, including quantitative assessments of the impact of climate change risks and opportunities on our business, and expanding the scope of our GHG emissions calculations.

1.Governance
Our Representative Director and President is the chairman of the Sustainability Committee. Many of the committee's members are in charge of corporate governance or departments in AMUSE and other Group companies. The Business Planning Department serves as its secretariat. The agenda of their quarterly meetings include the identification and reassessment of climate change risks and opportunities, development of policies and strategies, implementation of measures and progress management.
Climate change risks that are deemed to be high priority are reported to the Corporate Governance Committee for further discussion. Matters discussed by the Sustainability Committee are then regularly submitted and reported to the Board of Directors to allow them to monitor the committee's activities effectively.Sustainability Promotion Structure

2.Strategies
The AMUSE Group conducts scenario analysis using multiple climate change scenarios based on the TCFD recommendations to assess risks and opportunities associated with climate change. In our scenario analysis, we assume different scenarios, such as the progression of global warming and changes in regulations, and assess the impact of each scenario on our business from a mid- to long-term perspective. This enables us to understand the potential risks and opportunities associated with future climate change, adjust our business strategies and strengthen our risk management activities, leading to the formulation of appropriate strategies and measures.
Based on the results of our scenario analyses, we build sustainable business models and formulate appropriate responses to climate change.Scenario overviews and referenced scenarios

Climate change risks are managed along with the other sustainability risks. For more information, please refer to Sustainability Governance.

4.Indicators and targets
The Amuse Group aims to reduce GHG emissions (Scope 1 and 2) by 30% by 2030 compared to the level in FY2023, when the head office was completed, and to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
As one aspect of our efforts to achieve our goals, we have been switching a portion of the electricity for our head office to renewable energy derived from hydroelectric power generation since FY2024. The Teshima Training Center has also introduced solar power generation, and a portion of the electricity used is covered by renewable energy. The percentage of renewable energy used in FY2024 was 50.7%*. We aim to use 100% renewable energy by 2050.
We have relocated our new Tokyo office in October 2024. Although we are using regular electricity at present, we will continue to make efforts to reduce GHG emissions, including switching to a new electricity plan.
In addition, when calculating emissions, we will work to expand the scope of calculations to include the entire consolidated Group, and work towards disclosing Scope 3 emissions.
* The percentage of renewable energy in FY2024 does not include the amount of solar power generated at the Teshima Training Center that is consumed on-site.Reduction of GHG emissions / use of renewable energy

Life Culture Business
We are currently developing Life Culture Businesses that utilize Yamanashi Prefecture's regional assets, such as its rich food ingredients and natural environment, to produce new content. Through these businesses, we will communicate the appeal of the local area in a multifaceted way and propose new lifestyles that enable people to coexist with nature. Examples include HOBIE, a water activity based at Lake Saiko, and Restaurant SAI, which offers a new genre of gastronomic experiences using ingredients nurtured in the rare natural environment of the northern foothills of Mt. Fuji and based on the concept of "Oku-Yamanashi Cuisine".

Lake Saiko Day
We have hosted an interactive event with locals at our head offices, Amuse Village, on the shores of Lake Saiko in Yamanashi Prefecture. This event is held on March 15 every year and is called Lake Saiko Day. In 2024, we included university students from Yamanashi prefecture from the planning stages of the event as a new initiative, and implemented many programs, including one that enabled guests to experience the history and food culture of Lake Saiko, and another to allow guests the opportunity to learn about our initiatives in Yamanashi. We will continue striving to be an open, attractive local-minded office and company that widens the circle of enjoyment in the community.

Act Against Anything
The Act Against AIDS (AAA) THE VARIETY was an awareness charity event, held on World AIDS Day since 1993. Goro Kishitani, realized that there are many problems that we must face in the world besides AIDS, took the lead in starting this new charity project to deliver the necessary support to protect the smiling faces of children. All of the profits from THE VARIETY 28 in 2022 were donated to help in the crisis in Ukraine and areas affected by the Turkey-Syria earthquake.

Support for disaster-stricken areas
AMUSE has a Team AMUSE culture in which employees and artists work together to support people in need of assistance due to disasters and other causes, through volunteering. AMUSE Bokin (fundraising) activities, etc. To aid in the recovery from the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake that occurred in January 2024, we established the AMUSE Bokin for 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake Disaster Relief Fund. A total of over 100 artists and employees also provided operational support at the Suzu City Disaster Volunteer Center in Ishikawa Prefecture, and at a hot spring facility in Kanazawa City that provided free bathing support to evacuees.

MIRAI EDUTAINMENT FOUNDATION
In July 2023, we established the MIRAI EDUTAINMENT FOUNDATION, which aims to contribute to society through "edutainment," a combination of education and entertainment. With a slogan supporting everyone's diversity, the foundation aims to create a colorful world of respect for differences. In July 2024, the foundation held its first event, the U18 EDUTAINMENT CAMP. A total of 68 young people 18 years old and younger gathered at Lake Saiko in Yamanashi Prefecture to participate in a four-day program. Through this event, participants met new friends with whom they could create the future together and came to terms with new versions of themselves.
